We did not visit this store but bought a meat package for Christmas which contained corn beef hash, their Applewood smoked bacon and ham and bacon smoked sausage links.
Never made bacon in the oven until Neuske's directions were on the package. Best way ever to make bacon. . No mess. And great bacon. Their corn beef hash was so.....good. We have not eaten the sausage yet. Will update when we do. Delivered on time. Well packaged in Styrofoam cooler with ice packs.
Exceptional quality.
Was driving from Green Bay to Minneapolis and decided to check out the town of Wittenberg. I'm so glad I got off the highway and headed into town. I drove right by this gem of a place and decided to turn around and check it out, it looked too awesome not too. It is a beautiful store and maintained grounds. The place was packed to the point of having a hard time getting around. I decided to go with some summer sausage as I was travelling. Haven't tried it yet, but I imagine it will be good.
ALWAYS worth a stop. Some of the best meats I've ever had. I always try to stop whenever I'm passing through. They have an amazing selection of candy and meats. The staff are also always so nice and friendly. It is a very warm and welcoming place. I highly recommend stopping if you are passing through the area.
The shrine of Bacon. Nueske's is the best bacon in the US. Usually featured by name as a garnish at fine restaurants. Here are seconds cheaper, firsts and many other high quality smoked products, sausage and butcher cut meats for sale. Other Wisconsin food items too. Don't miss the School House with branded and Wisconsin clothing items. Proudly wear your Nueske's sweatshirt.
Oh my, oh my!!! This place is heaven š. The smell is something I wish they could bottle and make a cologne, itās smells soooo good. The selection of beef and pork products is overwhelming, in a good way. They have a lot of other local options like popcorn, cheese, maple syrup, pickled everything, jams, baskets for gifts, etc. It is a very cool place outside and inside, a must visit when you are in the area. You can tell there is a lot of history here and the quality of their product and very helpful staff shows in every way. Thank you for a great experience and count on me stopping by everytime in the area.
Swing in here whenever Iām in town. Every few years. First, ample parking. Never have to worry about that. Friendly staff as you walk in. Place is very clean. First thing I noticed is how the beef jerky is $36 a pound! I did notice how the their prices have been going up but this is a little crazy. For what you can get around here, thereās too many other butcher shops that donāt charge as much. At this point, youāre paying for the name, not so much the product. Also, they had a deal that if you spend $90 you get free Bacon. I spent almost $300 and said Iāll be driving when I leave there (and I donāt eat bacon for other reasons) so I asked to substitute it for something/anything that was cheaper??Was rudely told I could notā¦.I just spent $300!!! and wasnāt allowed to sub $9 Bacon for even a $2 horseradish LMAO
Will NOT be coming back ever again. Was on the fence coming back with the insanely high prices but after spending $300 and not being able to do a simple substitutionā¦this establishment places profit over customer service!
Update, come out for the fundraiser October 12th through the 14th. They have the ribeye steak Sandwich.Bacon cheddar jalapeno bratwurst need i say more
My grandma had ordered from Payton at Nueskeās on Monday 11/20 and it arrived in Florida, Wednesday 11/22! Right in time for Thanksgiving. Everything was packaged great, arrived quickly, AND included a free bacon for how much she ordered. I thought I would pass her smile along as she was just going to call and express her gratitude to Payton. Thanks Nueskeās!
